I can’t beleive she said that…!

September 18, 2008

I was introduced to the following by a friend on Twitter – http://www.storyofstuff.com/.  It was interesting, to say the least.  And to say the most to boot.  The author knows little to nothing re business and the true nature of the environment.

For instance, she stated that we have a huge amount of our forests destroyed.  Not true.  There are more harvestable trees today than ever in the history of the earth.  She does have a couple of legitimate points, but as most rabid enviromentalists, she uses a very broad brush to paint the whole world.

When she talks about the role of government and “big” business she misses the point, again.  Government and big business hire and pay “people” to produce goods and to insure the safety of the goods produced.  It is NOT the governments responsibility to take care of us.  We are all adults and should be able to take care of ourselves.  In fact there is too much government intervention now.

Sorry if I ramble on.  There are so many invalid stastical points in this presentation that, for me, it was embarrasing to watch.  I must give credit where credit is due.  She did make a few (very few) comments that I felt I could agree with.

Another Day another $0.24, getting richer!

Well, I survived the two 750 mile round trips to San Francisco this past week.  Had my nuclear test and everything appears normal.  Had to drive back down on Thursday for a Secretin stimulation test.  It will be another week till I get those results.

Got a chance to take a lot of pictures.  Janelle aka. @CCGAL is putting them up on Squidoo Lenses.  She just started on Saturday afternoon and already has 5 up and they are climbing up in status.  If you have a chance visit them, rate them, and leave a comment.  The links are attached.

As far as my book goes, it shouldn’t be much longer before it’s ready for sale.  I’ll keep everyone informed.

Here are the key links for @CCGAL
